Mission Statement
A parish is an organized religious community of Orthodox people in a certain territory and is under the spiritual leadership of a parish priest. It is a spiritual community of persons united in faith in Christ, in prayer, in the Holy Mysteries, in Christian Science and in church order.
About This Cause
The aim of the community is for believers to help each other, encouraging salvation through participation in the Holy Mysteries, missionary work, exemplary Christian life and good Christian works. At St. Stephen's Church in Ottawa, we have a parish around which Orthodox Serbs are gathered. In addition to the city of Ottawa, the parish also includes surrounding towns such as Gatineau, Kanata, Orleans, Hagsbury and other smaller towns in the vicinity of Ottawa.
