Mission Statement

At A Place to Grow every child is a special child, recognized for his or her unique personality. We believe a child needs a nurturing, secure, comfortable and stimulating environment to grow. Through this stimulation a child will learn to love, to share, to trust and to co-operate. Children are empowered to take risks while pursuing their intellectual and creative endeavours. As active learners, children investigate and explore the world by using their senses as they work together with people and materials.

About This Cause

Welcome to A Place to Grow Childcare – a place for children to grow, learn and play. APTG has been providing quality childcare and early learning experiences to the Surrey community, employees of Surrey Memorial Hospital and within the Fraser Health Authority for over 23 years. As a non-profit society (Surrey Hospital Community Childcare Society), A Place to Grow is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of Surrey Memorial Hospital (SMH) and Fraser Health Authority (FHA) families as well as family members who have children enrolled in our childcare programs.
