Mission Statement
The Crescent School Foundation was established in 1994 to receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part thereof and the income therefrom for charitable purposes of an educational nature, and in particular, without limiting the generality of the foregoing: (i) to provide scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, prizes and financial assistance to students of Crescent School (the "School") or any successor, with emphasis on students who, without financial assistance, might not otherwise be able to continue their education; and (ii) to contribute to the ordinary operating expenses of the School, expansion of educational programs, capital improvements for the School, and improvements, alterations and additions to the existing or future buildings of the School wherever the same may be located
About This Cause
The Crescent School Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors separate from the School's Board of Governors and makes annual disbursements from donor-designated funds to support various School programs including Student Financial Aid, Robotics, local and international outreach, Crescent Student Services, Mathematics, Athletics, and Music. The Foundation's Board works with external asset managers to steward the endowment, in a conservative manner, so as to preserve capital and grow it over time. As of October 2017, The Foundation manages $13.9M in assets, with approximately 70% directed by the donors in support of Student Financial Aid.
