Mission Statement
The Niakwa Place School Parent Association exists for the purpose of promoting a safe, open, inclusive and cohesive learning environment, while encouraging the principles of good community and global citizenship. The Association will work in participation with school staff, students, parents/guardians, and members of the Louis Riel School Division to create a setting where all parties can realize success.
About This Cause
In keeping with the mission statement, the objectives of the Association are: 1. To cooperate with the school administration in the recommendation and implementation of school improvements, programs, policies, budget and activities. 2. To establish and maintain timely communication with all parents/guardians of the students enrolled in the school. 3. To encourage parents/guardians to become involved in Association activities. 4. To act as a liaison between the school, parents/guardians, school division, community members and other organizations that share a common interest. 5. Represent the Members of the Association at the school division level where required. 6. To initiate and carryout authorized fundraising events, with all profit or proceeds used for the improvement or maintenance of the learning environment. 7. To coordinate or assist with specific projects designed for student enjoyment. (e.g. pizza lunch, hot dog days, spring and/or fall BBQ, children’s festival, Christmas bake sale, etc…)
