About This Cause
25 YEARS OF CHAMBER MUSIC INTIMACY The mission of the Montreal Chamber Music Festival (MCMF) is born out of a fervent desire to create unique experiences for audience and artist alike. Convinced that chamber music is an intimate language that begins where words stop, each performer invited to play at the Festival is excellent, committed and passionate. The performer is the conduit through which music's message is heard. His/her sincerity, humility and dedication are essential ingredients in creating the unique bond that makes the concert an irreplaceable experience for the audience. Ensembles are brought together based upon this principle and, thereby, ensure a wonderful on-stage experience for the artists and a magical and powerful discovery for the audience. Because the Festival plays in concert halls with limited capacity, 400 people or less, the atmosphere we create is relaxed, accessible and friendly. According to our loyal concert-goers, the MCMF experience is second to none. We are proud of our track record, our creative programming and the dedication to excellence that we bring to each and every one of our events. The art of cohesion and collaboration is our raison d'être.
