Mission Statement

The objectives of Hinode Taiko, Inc. are: (a) to learn a unique form of Japanese music, the art of taiko; (b) to create an awareness of taiko through public performances; (c) to instruct all interested persons; and (d) to raise monies for the purpose of fulfilling the aforesaid objectives.

About This Cause

Hinode Taiko (Rising Sun Drums) is a Japanese taiko drumming group based in Winnipeg, Canada. Founded in 1982, they have been showcasing the traditional art of taiko drumming to audiences in Canada, the U.S. and Japan with a blend of traditional and contemporary pieces.
