Mission Statement
To provide 24 hour "as required" care to those with physical disabilities in a home like environment. to provide housing option which will allow adults with physical disabilities to live in a supportive community. to offer an alternative to adults living in long term care facilities and relief to those currently living in the community who are experiencing difficulties due to accessibility, transportation, insufficient support services or companionship.
About This Cause
We are a small independent living group home for adults with physical disabilities. There are 2 staff on site to provide assistance as needed for personal care, transfers, ADL's, preparation of meals and to encourage community involvement and independence. We strive to improve their quality of life and in a supportive home like environment. There are management staff that oversee the operation of the home and work on site so there is direct contact on daily basis. We fundraise to offer our residents the opportunities to experience different extra curricular activities within and outside of the home which include sporting events, concerts, theatre and Broadway productions but also to cover the ongoing costs of ceiling lifts and devices used and needed on a daily basis to enable independence and a fulfilling life. We are small and only have 11 residents but this enables us to provide the quality of care and home like environment that is not readily found in the community.
