Mission Statement
Sheena’s Place, located in downtown Toronto, is a centre offering group support for individuals 17 years of age and older struggling with eating disorders, as well as support for family, friends, and partners who have a loved one struggling with an eating disorder. Individuals do not require a referral or a diagnosis to attend groups at Sheena’s Place. All groups at Sheena’s Place are offered free of charge.
About This Cause
Sheena's Place is the ONLY community organization in the GTA that provides free, immediate mental health support services to people affected by eating disorders. We offer professionally facilitated group programs completely free of charge, and do not require a referral or diagnosis so that our services are accessible to all. Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness, yet those who are affected face many barriers when seeking help: stigma, waiting lists, and unaffordable treatment options. Sheena's Place does not receive any public funding and all programs are funded by donations alone. This is why your donation is so important to the thousands of people who seek help at Sheena's Place.
