About This Cause

Root for Trees is an enhanced tree planting initiative which intends to increase tree planting within the City of Edmonton through continued partnerships with corporations, individual residents and community groups. Partners in Parks is a stewardship program encouraging Edmontonians to enhance and preserve their local green spaces. Individuals or groups contribute by improving the maintenance and care of horticulture beds. Donation funds will support educational and program materials, making the program more accessible. River Valley Programs offers outdoor educational programming at a reduced cost to schools in the Rundle, Goldbar and surrounding areas. There are several schools typically unable to afford our programming, so this may provide an opportunity for those students to explore the river valley during a River Valley Program. The funding would assist the schools in paying for 50% of their program and the school would pay the other half of the program.
