Mission Statement
We provide low-barrier legal and wellness services to transgender and gender non-conforming people in a way that is respectful and celebratory of clients’ identity and self-expression.
About This Cause
Our current services include legal and counselling, with upcoming hires for a registered massage therapist, dietician, registered nurse, and Indigenous support worker. We are partially volunteer run, with some positions funded by the BC Ministry of Health and Law Foundation. The scope of this funding is narrow and limited, and we rely on donations to fund additional positions and projects, and to refer clients out to other services when we cannot meet their needs. Much of our current work is providing hormone and surgery readiness assessments and providing support (and funding) for name and gender-marker changes. We operate out of the REACH Community Health Centre in Vancouver, with virtual services open to all BC residents regardless of status.
