About This Cause
Orphans are among the most vulnerable members of society, often facing a wide range of challenges that can impact their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Without the support of a family or community, they may struggle to access basic necessities like food, shelter, and healthcare, and may lack the opportunities they need to succeed in life. Nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting orphans play a vital role in addressing these challenges. Through their programs and initiatives, these organizations provide orphans with access to education, healthcare, and other essential resources. They also create a sense of community and belonging, helping orphans to build relationships and develop the skills they need to thrive. At the same time, nonprofit organizations for orphans also work to raise awareness about the issues facing these vulnerable children. They advocate for their rights and work to create policies and systems that support their well-being. Our organization's impact in Taiwan is significant, as demonstrated by our partnerships with over 2600 primary schools working in conjunction with TOWF. Each semester, we receive referrals for at least 300 new cases from these schools, adding up to over 600 cases per year. Our outreach efforts have allowed us to connect with countless children and families in need, providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive. As we continue to expand our reach and deepen our impact, we remain committed to serving our community and making a positive difference in the lives of those we touch. Our organization is committed to supporting orphans and helping them face the challenges that come with unexpected loss. Our vision is fourfold: we seek to encourage orphans to approach difficult situations with bravery, inspire them to develop problem-solving skills, cultivate a spirit of progress and growth, and provide them with the tools and guidance they need to become self-reliant adults with successful careers or businesses. To achieve this vision, we provide a range of services including financial support through scholarships for over 2000 orphans in Taiwan, tutoring services, consoling services, character education, summer camps, one-day field trips, and the National Orphanage Olympic, among others. Our team of professional social workers, consolers, and supporters work tirelessly to ensure that children who have lost one or both parents are not left in financial distress or undue pressure, but instead have access to the resources they need to live a healthy and happy life. At TOWF, we are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of orphans in Taiwan, and we believe that with our support, these children can overcome adversity and thrive.
