Mission Statement
TWCA is a non-government, non-profit group established in 1998. Since then, we have been devoting ourselves to help the single mothers who have the financial issue and children who live in poor family. We considered the women and children as vulnerable group who need the protection most. Once the parents or the single mothers suffer the life challenges, such as losing the job, accident, major illness, physical and mental disorder and it doesn’t just affect the adult who experience it, it affects the entire family, including the children’s rights in education. The financial issue leaves them exposed the enormous stress. Therefore TWCA lunches many supporting programs to help them going through the difficulties. TWCA have been supporting around 1300 children and 200 needy families per year. 社團法人臺灣省婦幼協會創立於1998年，是一個非營利的民間公益機構，致力於幫助陷入經濟困境的單親媽媽與家庭，因為我們認為婦女和幼童是社會上最需要保護的對象之一，家庭中父母或單親媽媽一旦遭遇生活上的問題，像是失業、遭逢意外、重大傷病、身心障礙，不僅是大人要面對困難，連整個家庭生活都會受到波及，包括小孩的就學權利，媽媽們也因此受到龐大的經濟壓力，所以協會辦理許多的援助方案，以幫助弱勢婦幼度過難關。 而協會一年大約協助1300名貧困學童和200戶的弱勢家庭。
About This Cause
Our work and Service A. Financial Issue Family Support Program： To financially support to the family as well as the supplies by reducing their large amount of stress temporarily. B. Elementary School Fee Support Program： To help the children who live in poor family using a wide range of tools to make it happen: providing school fees, lunch, stationeries, uniforms, and tutoring at school, to help the children going to the elementary school. We consider the education as an important step out of poverty, another important goal of TWCA. It helps the children getting an education instead of dropping of it. So that they have access to learn knowledge and skills and one day can provide for their family and add to the development of their community, and meanwhile it also creates a positive cycle. C. Single Mothers Support Program： The single mothers carry great responsibilities not only to take care of children at home but also work to support the all family at the same time. They barely have enough time to take care of both sides. Since they are lacking of good working ability, their low paid is not enough to support the expenses of the all household. They are always struggling the financial challenges and unable to meet the children’ needs. The program helps them with sorting out the financials temporarily and supporting the supplies as well as giving the mothers a break from their stressful life. Your donation is invested to support to the single mothers and poor families to make their life better as well as help the children remaining to stay in education system which is absolutely essential to building a future free from poverty. Your help is appreciated! 我們的工作＆服務 A.幫助陷入經濟困境的家庭，提供物資或救助金，及時舒緩壓力。 B.幫助貧困學童：幫助貧困學童學習費用，並用於繳納學費、餐費、文具、制服、課後輔導。。。等等，讓貧童順利上學，因為我們認為教育是擺脫貧困的重要關鍵，這也是TWCA最重要的目標，幫助學童上學不中斷，並也期盼他們長大後能有更好的能力，可以照顧家庭並且回饋社會，形成一個正向的循環。 C. 協助單親媽媽：許多單親媽媽因為要照顧小孩，也必需外出工作，以致於分身乏術，弱勢婦女往往缺乏良好的工作能力，她們的低薪無法支持整個家庭的開銷，常常面臨經濟的壓力，無法照顧好孩子們的生活所需。這個方案將幫助她們暫時解決經濟問題，並提供生活物資，同時也希望可以讓單親媽媽在高壓的環境中喘口氣。 您的捐助將幫助單親媽媽、貧困家庭來改善他們的生活，也幫助貧窮的孩子持續上學，因為教育才是擺脫貧困不可少的必要因素。支持我們，讓我們可以幫助弱勢族群，非常感謝您的捐贈！
