Mission Statement
"Make every migrant's journey worthy and inspiring." One-Forty is a Taiwan nonprofit organization helping migrant workers (esp. Indonesians) in Taiwan to integrate socially, but also make sense of their migration by learning new skills and transferring them to their families back home – including language, business, and financial education.
About This Cause
Founded in July 2015, One-Forty is a non-for-profit startup from Taiwan. We are committed to Southeast Asian migrant workers' empowerment and skill training during their time abroad, so they can alleviate poverty and build a better life for themselves and families. We've trained 800+ migrant workers in our offline program, and gathered 30,000+ followers on our online learning platform. Meanwhile, One-Forty facilitates engagements and empathy between local citizens and migrant workers by 120+ interviewed stories, 40+ advocacy videos, and regular culture sharing events. We offer an opportunity to create a worldview with diversity in mind, and to build up a migrant-friendly society. * Who is One-Forty?
