關心數位素養、非營利組織之數位運用、數位轉型、弱勢者之數位機會。相信參與是改變的力量。 Frontier Foundation Taiwan is a nonprofit organization that connects minorities with the Internet, facilitates participatory discussion within organizations through policy research, grass-roots education, and actively promotes alternative media.
About This Cause
開拓文教基金會之創立，是一群學者和青年人將對台灣的愛與關心，化為行動，共同尋找對台灣有幫助的方向；從政策研究、社區人才培訓、媒體觀察、對資訊化社會的關心等都是我們努力的方向，目前工作則以「協助弱勢族群之資訊系統」以及「協助非營利性組織與資訊科技之運用」為主要重點。 本會由長期關心台灣本土文化、弱勢族群權益的工作人員、網際網路專業的技術人員、志工所組成。落實民主理念、讓台灣成為一個公平、公義、有愛心的國家，一直是本會努力的目標。要達成這個目標需要有良好的政策規劃與民眾積極的公共參與。 網際網路的出現，讓我們有更直接的管道來促成民眾參與和弱勢發聲；各種社會媒體的出現讓社會參與的空間更大幅地提升。我們將透過各種軟體與資訊服務捐贈的媒合，以及相關的課程、工作坊與訓練，扮演非營利組織與資訊運用的橋樑，持續推動各項服務工作。 Frontier Foundation is an organization to aggregate the care and love toward Taiwan and to transform that into the practical ground level, community and social action. From policy research, training for community organizers, media watch, to information society practical action plan, Frontier Foundation is devoted to facilitation of the connection among minorities and Internet, and the participatory discussion within organizations.
