Mission Statement
The mission of the Association is to provide assistance to women and children victims of domestic violence from the territory of the Republic of Croatia for up to one year, through accommodation, food, health care, care for children's education, and psychosocial assistance and support so that the victims can prepare and empower themselves for an independent life. and responsible parenting.
About This Cause
According to the Association's Classification of Activities in the Register of Associations, the Association performs social activities, as well as activities of democratic and political culture, and the target group is women and children victims of domestic violence. The association cares for the protection of women and children victims of domestic violence by providing them with accommodation and psychosocial assistance. The association was founded with the purpose of promoting and improving women's human rights based on the principles of the "General Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination (CEDAW) and the Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence. The association also provides temporary housing for women and children victims of domestic violence in the Shelter for women and children victims of domestic violence, and encourages responsible parenting. The association accepts women and children victims of domestic violence for accommodation in the Shelter on the basis of a contract with the ministry responsible for social welfare activities, and based on the decision of the Center for Social Welfare.
