Mission Statement
"Les Petites Gouttes" has been created to fight against all forms of exclusion in Senegal, with willing people who wanted to gather all their strength, their conviction through intellectual, financial and material means coming from all parts in order to: –Support the children who are ill, as well as disabled people who are reduced to begging to survive –Support the disadvantaged families in order for them to find activities that will provide a financial income so that may be autonomous –Help sick people gain access to basic health care. –Collect and distribute clothes, software material, sports gears
About This Cause
The Organization aims at fighting against all forms of exclusion linked to age, sex, social class, or disability. Our work is divided in three distinct projects: -The Talibé Project, which supports the children living in the streets, and more particularly the Talibes with the attempt to find solutions that may guaranteea better future for them. For this project, our actions are articulated around three axes: *Wellness *Training and Professionalization *Health and Prevention These concrete actions are associated with a fight against active begging by lobbying the authorities and raising awareness among the population. We implement this device in partner daaras that accept our operating conditions. This work of change is done in direct partnership with the marabouts who are 100% involved in the project of change of life of children. -The Abinism Project , articulated around two axes: *Distribution pane of sunscreen *Health and Prevention These concrete actions are associated with raising people's awareness of the importance of efficient integration of ALL members of the community. We set up this device for people wishing to follow our conditions of care. We work in partnership with the Dutch foundation Stichting Afrikaanse Albino's. In 2016: 118 people, mainly Dakar and Thiès regions In 2017: 200 people, localities of Dakar, Thiès, Ziguinchor, Sedhiou, Touba, Sine Saloum ... - The Handicap Project, articulated around three axes: *School Accompaniment and Professional Integration *Medical accompaniment *Disability Compensation We are putting this system in place by offering children with a disability a boost for the purchase of specific equipment allowing them to continue or to start studies or regain autonomy in their daily lives. A team of volunteers has been set up to define the criteria for awarding funding according to predefined specifications. Each beneficiary will be given a brochure explaining the public support to which he is entitled and the steps to benefit from it. On the other hand, we work with a diverse audience of talibés, people with disabilities and people with albinism. From this, came the need to diversify our actions with the poor. Therefore we launched the Solidarity projects which include the construction of the "Petites Gouttes" House as well as the "Petites Gouttes" Center, the opening of a Solidarity Boutique and the initiation of the project Jeggui, a bridge for employment. We are intended to allow all beneficiaries to cross, share, exchange and move forward with volunteers and project stakeholders.
