e-Enfance/3018 organization supports the critical thinking and responsible use of communication and information tools by children and young people.
About This Cause
Recognized as a public utility, e-Enfance/3018 organization is the reference for the protection of minors on the Internet and the education to digital citizenship, since 2005. Its mission is to : - to protect minors against all forms of digital violence, linked to the use of interactive means of communication (internet, cell phone, computer, game console) - to promote a citizen education of digital uses, - accompany parents and professionals in their role of supervision and education of young people in their digital life. It has 2 means of action: - Prevention with young people, parents and professionals - Support with 3018, the national number for young victims of digital violence, their parents and professionals Approved by the French Ministry of Education, e-Enfance/3018 organization intervenes in schools (schools, colleges, high schools) and in all facilities for children and teenagers in and out of school to carry out prevention actions for a responsible and civic digital use. It organizes conferences and debates with parents (schools, local authorities, companies) to help them know, understand and supervise their children's digital use. The Association also trains professionals from all sectors (teachers, educators, psychologists, pediatricians, magistrates, lawyers, police officers, etc.) to help them better understand the digital uses of young people, the issues at stake and the potential risks. It develops educational tools adapted to all audiences, including the innovative ProTect tablet program for middle school students with the Gendarmerie Nationale and the CIPDR (Comité Interministériel de Prévention de la Délinquance et de la Radicalisation). e-Enfance organization operates 3018, a national number for young victims of digital violence and help with digital parenting. The 3018 has an agreement with the PHAROS platform internet-signalement.gouv.fr (2010), the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, 119 Enfance en danger, and the Gendarmerie for priority reporting. It is linked to the network of Teenage Houses to guide them towards a possible psychological follow-up. 3018 advises victims on how to file a complaint, if necessary. 3018 is a trusted flagger for social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, TikTok, Discord, Yubo, Mym, etc.) to report and remove illegal and/or harmful content for minors within a few hours, via a priority reporting procedure. 3018 assists teenagers, parents and professionals on all issues related to the digital use of young people. 3018 is co-financed by the European Commission, the French Ministry of Education and the DILCRAH. 3018 is open to any public, children and their parents, whether they are victims, witnesses or perpetrators of cyber-violence, seeking psychological, legal and/or technical assistance. Topics covered: cyber-bullying, revenge porn, webcam blackmail, overexposure to screens, video games, exposure to violent & pornographic content, parental control, account settings on social networks, account hacking or identity theft. Users of the free service are welcomed anonymously and confidentially. The line is open 7 days a week, from 9am to 11pm. Users can contact the service by phone, chat, instant messengers (Messenger, WhatsApp, etc.) and via the 3018 application, which can be downloaded free of charge from the stores.
