Mission Statement

To help consumers be educated, well-informed and well-advised, the Foundation supports projects run by the Federation of German Consumer Organizations, Consumer Advice Centers and other member associations. One focus is on consumer education - especially for children and adolescents. Our vision is that all consumers are critical, self-determined and act sustainably.

About This Cause

The German Foundation for Consumer Protection (Deutsche Stiftung Verbraucherschutz, DSV) was founded in 2010 by the Federation of German Consumer Organisations and its members. The DSV's task is to strengthen consumer support. It enables the enforcement of consumer interests and improves the status of the consumer within the context of a social market economy. This contributes to the sustainable development of society. The DSV fosters projects to better inform, consult and educate consumers. Among its priorities is consumer education - especially for children and teenagers. The main points are sustainable consumption, finances, nutrition, health and media.
