Mission Statement
Our aim is to make disadvantaged members of society (disabled people, people with disabilities, young people from social disadvantaged backgrounds, elderly people, etc.) believe in the need for their talent and, if they do not give up, success, value creation. We want to help Them, by taking advantage of their own strength, their talents, to be active contributors and even creators of our programs, feeling their own, their own. We believe that the moral capital inherent in Their struggle can enrich and ennoble society.
About This Cause
Our foundation is responsible for a broad area without extensive financial background. We do a lot of different programs for the purpose of sensitize the society: sensitizational trainings, sensitizational camp with healthy people and people with disabilities, got a gospel choir and band with disabled singers, have a café shop with waiters who have Down-syndrome or living with autism, have a courirer team with metally impaired people have two communal houses for disadvantaged children for afternoon programs and giving one meal/day for tham, and we have a developing program for children living with autism or ADHD and for their whole families. This program is a complex program, unusal in Hungary, but very effective because the specialists working not just with the children but with their parents and siblings too. The whole family get some help to manage their life with children who have specian needs. We organize charity events which are helping us to cover our "uneconomical" programs (developing people with autism, the Never Give Up houses) in which we are looking for additional fundings. In order to do that we host fundraiser events and looking for public/privite opportunities to raise money, applying for donation programs and support. Moreover we are looking for private companies, with similar goals, with whom we are able to work to gather to achieve our mission. The most complicated part is to find the support for hidden costs: development tools costs of the program for children with autism, which are the operating expens of the Never Give Up houses, the payroll expenses and the cost of head office of the Never Give Up foundation (appr. 40 people living with disabilities). This year - before the coronavirus - we could buy on credit a new working place for the autism program. Now, or more precisely before the virus, they worked in a basement what we are rentig for them. This new place have to be renovated before the program move in and it is unfurnished as well. Our goal is that as soon as possible they can occupy this new place close to the headquater of the Foundation in Budapest, VIII. district. It is more healthier, brighter and bigger than the basement, and it is ours. So we cold evolve a more developing-friendly enviroment for the chidren living with autism and ADHD. And for their families.
