About This Cause

Our conservation journey which started in 1998, resulted in official registration in 2012. From then, we are the fastest expanding conservation organization in Central India. With our dedicated and passionate team members, we have addressed several conservation issues in 10 states and 25 protected areas in India. Through our initiative 'Wild rescue', we rescue the distressed wildlife, provide veterinary care to them and rehabilitate them in their natural habitat. With the help of our dedicated rescue team members ,we have been successful in providing veterinary care to around 50000 animals of around 400 species so far. Wild-CER is actively protecting tigers in central India through one health approach and preventing the disease transmission in the free ranging wildlife in several tiger reserves like Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve from Maharashtra, Pench Tiger Reserve from Maharashtra, Bor Tiger Reserve from Maharashtra, Navegaon-Nagzira Tiger Reserve from Maharashtra, Valmiki Tiger Reserve from Bihar and Panna Tiger Reserve from Madhya Pradesh. From 2003, we are involved in vulture conservation in Central India. We have prepared Vulture consevation action plan for Pench Tiger Reserve in Maharashtra. Through providing food to vulture through vulture restaurants. we have been successful to increase their number from few individuals to around 60 vultures now in naxal affected Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. Through our one health approach we are studying diseases occuring in animals and taking measures to prevent the disease transmission in wild animals. We have vaccinated around 15000 animals in and around protected areas in India. We have published number of research papers in national and international journals which can be found on our website (https://wildcer.org/publications/).
