Mission Statement
To make children and youth with Autism and intellectual disabilities healthy, happy and independent, and improve their quality of life by providing the necessary clinical and social support. To provide people with disabilities an identity, a community, and a network of support. To enable talented individuals with neurodiversity to be recognised and applauded for their abilities and not their disabilities. We envision a future where people with special needs are successfully and seamlessly integrated into the society and its institutions - schools, colleges, workplaces and social communities.
About This Cause
Mitra for Life is a non-profit organisation that works for the wellness and empowerment of children and youth with Autism and intellectual disabilities. We work with the child as the central focus, providing Homoeopathic treatment, holistic healthcare, therapies and support to optimise their neurodevelopment and health. We work with their families, empowering them to support their child to achieve their potential. We work with adolescents and young adults focusing on training, support and empowerment to make them independent. With youth and families, we work on emotional and psychosocial wellbeing. We work simultaneously with other stakeholders like special schools, vocational training centres and corporates for creating awareness and opportunities for social inclusion. We are committed to providing a holistic environment for children and youth with focus on personal growth and development. We encourage them to fulfil their potential in all spheres, with an emphasis on emotional & psychological aspects of learning, behaviour, life skills, managing challenging situations, coping with emotions and interpersonal relationships, stress management & wellbeing.
