Mission Statement
Our Vishalayam started its journey on 2012 with 2 differently abled children as a rehabilitation Centre at Red Hills Chennai Tamil Nadu, India, today we are serving 70 special children from various parts of Chennai and Tiruvallur districts. In order to extend such services to under privileged differently abled special children, in the rural areas Vishalayam has started a rehabilitation centre (care @ Wheels) in the village of Tiruvallur district Tamil Nadu India.
About This Cause
God's gift Foundation was founded by Dr Prasad Sundara Rajan in 2012. God’s gift Foundation is a helping hand for the special kids from under privileged individuals in India. God's gift Foundation is a charitable organization serving to bring the special children community to the mainstream society by empowering them physically, socially and economically. We have worked extensively over the last 11 years to reach out and rehabilitate children with special needs from the under privileged segment. Vishalayam is a key project of God’s gift Foundation, working for special children particularly at rural region over Tamil Nadu while focusing on elevating disabilities and providing proper physical social and economic rehabilitation. We do this through well planned and comprehensive programs in health, therapeutic management, conservative treatments and helping aid distribution making us a Charity Organization in India. Tailor-made educational programs provide these special children with basic life skills and fundamental concepts that will help them function as independently as possible on a day- to- day basis. WHAT WE DO... Vishalayam nurtures the persons with disability and special kids by providing them facility of physically, economically, socially rehabilitation Talent and fashion shows to nurture the right talent in the area of fashion, athletics, sports, singing, painting and more ... Our Vishalayam team with committed professionals identifies and rehabilitate the persons with mental retardation and special kids, this will create an opportunity for us to identify major neurological problems earlier and easier for giving early intervention. Experienced and well-trained special educators will provide children with daily skills and special education, this will definitely help our special kids to learn their daily activities and brings hidden potentials out. We also provide vocational training and job placement for people with special needs in their 4th phase of rehabilitation. This definitely improves the overall quality of life for the special children from the under privileged section. Vishalayam taking care of Special children and differently abled children from remote villages, we are facing hectic situations in transporting children from their villages to our institution. In interior remote villages there are no proper Road facilities and transport facilities for children to reach our Institution, we are arranging private autos for transportation. Monthly transportation costs lead us to a significant burden. It will be much easier if we own a vehicle for transporting our special children, particularly bedridden special kids who rely on us for their daily activities, also it will be helpful to reach more children from remote villages. It will be potentially useful if you all support our organization for buying a vehicle, and this will be ultimately benefit our special children for getting their rehabilitation and its our duty for providing them proper treatment and food and also a path way for enjoying their life as we all do
