Mission Statement
MISSION To identify and implement social development projects in areas of health, education, livelihoods and disability which are scalable and replicable, in partnership with NGOs, government and institutions, aimed at holistic development of all underprivileged and socially backward communities in India. VISION Work towards creating an equitable society with the aim of enhancing quality of life for all through empowerment of marginalized and underprivileged communities in India. Aims and Objectives of the Society The purpose to form this Society is to serve the society at large to carry out social work and not to earn any profit. The same shall be run on no profit and no loss basis entirely for social work. GVS’s mission is to bring awareness among deprived populace through democratic means so as to empower them and help them in gaining control over all factors that affect their individual life and community at large. About This Cause
1)National Child Labour Program ========================== Gramin Vikas Samiti run 12 NCLP center in urban slum area of Distt. Gurgaon. Where 600 children have been enrolled for study in the centers. These children were working on any tea shop, General shop, Vegetable shop or any company and factory. These children who have been enrolled in these centers were in age group of 9 to 14 years old. In one center 50 children were in strength where two educational instructors and one vocational instructor have been appointed for teaching to these children. Mid day meal have been provided in their lunch time. The time of the center was 4 hours in which instructor emphasize on formal education, exposure activity and excursion tour to the historical and recreational sites where children gain general knowledge and feel happy for relax mind which help the child in growing and development. These children were provided educational material and given Rs. 400/- to each child by operating saving bank account in Allahabad Bank, Gurgaon as stipend per month. One helper is also appointed in each center for helping the child to serve the mid day meal. One Clerk cum Accountant appointed for each center for having the accounts of expenses, attendance of teacher and children. The accounts have been maintained of room rent also 2)Education for Slum children ( Mission Education) ========================================= Under this project all 600 children provided school bags, note books, pencil, rubber, and other class book activity including drawing books. Teachers have been provided tables , chairs, almirah and black boards for their teaching facility so that they feel relax and comfort. In dundahera village Vishnu Center one temporary tin shed has been constructed for sitting 50 children in easy way. In New Palam Vihar Vishkarma center one temporary brick tin shed and toilet have been constructed for50 children sitting facility. In Dron Center Surat Nagar one toilet has been constructed for children using. . 3)Malaria Eradication Program ======================== The residents have been asked not to let water stagnate on their premises or store water without proper covering. Breeding checkers have been sent to houses to help identify areas where dengue mosquitoes may be breeding. Coolers and refrigerator trays are common areas where dengue mosquitoes breed. So all 50 breeding checkers have done marvelous work by spraying anti larva medicine in the houses, coolers. Ponds, tree pots, broken pots and bottles, drains, water tanks and stagnate water. 4)Mid Day Meal for slum children ============================ In NCLP centers ISKON FOUNDATION provide the mid day meal to the children on regular basis. The vehicle of Iskon Foundation carries the mid day meal in every center. But in winter and summer vocation or Govt. holiday Iskon Foundation stop the supply of mid day meal. Due to special schools GVS could not close the centers. So in these days Gramin Vikas Samiti supply the mid day meal to the all 600 children by purchasing the food items such as grams, kheel chana, biscuits etc dry items due to not facility of cooking. The expenditure bills have submitted to the Distt. Elementary Education Officer, Gurgaon and received the actual payments according to Govt. payments scheduled on age wise primary school children. 5)Gender Sensitization ===================== Gramin Vikas Samiti has worked in four villages of distt. Gurgaon on issue of gender sensitization. The four villages are Doltabad, Sarai Allawardi, Bajghera and Choma Cartarpuri. In this program madam Meena Baldev President of Mahilla Cell Gurgaon has been invited for deliver the lecture on gender issue. Meena Baldev made understand the people the value of girl child. Parents should not make differentiate in boys and girls. Generally parents made their negative attitude towards girl child and started to meet the doctor for abortion. So the emphasize was on save the girl child. Madam Meena Baldev gave lecture that female is in every department such as Defense, Railway, Air Force, Banking and other private sectors. Govt. also is publishing the advertisement on save girl child not become HATYARA. If any people found with the doctor for doing this activity of abortion the doctor and parents could be arrested and license of doctor may be cancel. In these camps 389 people have attended and followed the motion of the camp. Thus this program also remained very successful. 6)Empowerment the Girls & Women ( Swabhiman ) ========================================= Gramin Vikas Samiti has undertaken the project of Empowerment the Girls & Women through running economic employability center in Surat Nagar ph-2 Gurugram sanctioned by smile Foundation , New Delhi from 2015 to 2021. These are around 18000 population in while girls & women have been given health care counseling, immunization & health service. These beneficiaries have been distributed medicines every month by checking health issues by The Doctors. 7)Training to Physical Handicapped, Persons with disabilities =================================================== Gramin Vikas Samiti has been sanctioned the project by Indian Institute Skill Development, Gurgaon ( IISD) The training of Fitter post Spinning to 100 persons who were disabled & physical handicapped. These beneficiaries have been given stipend of Rs 5000/- in the accounts during training Lodging & Boarding available in this project. After completion the training 80% trainees were placed in job according to their Capacity. Thus this project of skill development remained very successful. 8)Economic Employability & Skill Development Training ============================================= Around 160 & girls have been given the training of computer & English speaking as well as personality development there were four months demotion of the computer & English speaking for course for 40 candidates. Thus from this duration 160 girls & women have been trained in two years as promote their self confidence & given responsibility of caring their status. There candidates have been given repudiated companies for their self appraisal. Thus after completion the training 80% girls & women have been placed in their job as capacity 9)Menstrual Health & Hygiene ============================ The most marginalised communities of Bhopal to improve awareness and access to healthy menstrual practices. TPF allows us scale while we enable next generation leaders who will contribute to the vision of making menstruation a non-issue. We believe our idea has the strong potential to transform sexual and reproductive space because we seek to create a cohort of independent thinking leaders(Period fellows) who seek to address this challenge in with an holistic perspective during the fellowship. Our idea integrates social innovation with business by selling products and with technology through the app based platform created by our operations team to track the scalability of our model. Over the last so many years we have learnt and built a replicable model, but we sure acknowledged the fact that no matter how much we scale we will not be able to directly reach the 300 million women without either awareness or access to healthy menstrual practices. So we are piloting an idea called “The Period Fellowship”. Through the Period Fellows we would have formed 2400 groups with around 24000+ women and girls who be aware of their physical anatomy and will be able to make informed choices over involvement in sex and their pregnancies. This will increase the confidence levels of these women contributing to better roles played in both sexual lives and family planning 10)Training of Two Wheeler Driving ============================= GVS has been allotted the CSR project of driving two driving for 40 youth ( 50% Male & 50% Women ) sanctioned by LB Consultancy Services Pvt. Ltd. Naraina , New Delhi in the Distt. Gurugram on dated 1st Nov. 2020 the responsibility of Gramin Vikas Samiti is to teach driving two wheeler & make their license after completion the training. The agreement has been done GVS started to do this training in Surat Nagar ph-2. 11)Corona test Camp ================== Gramin Vikas Samiti organized corona screening camp in Distt. Gurugram with the health team of civil hospital, Gurugram. The team of GVS has motivated the people in the community for their checkup the status of COVID-19 by the health team helped them to get their tested result of negative / positive and 7000 people have been tested of corona & if any person found positive adhered them for have quarantine given the course of medicines.
