We wish you Happiness, Joy, Good Health, Success and Peace in abundance ! * We are short of words to express our gratitude towards your valuable contribution, we are grateful to you for your generosity and kindness. * You are an esteemed member of the Sewadham family, it's a matter of pride for us. * Founded on the principle of ‘Manav Sewa - Madhav Sewa’ (Service to Humanity is Service to God), Sewadham Ashram - NGO serves as a beacon of hope to the most vulnerable members of society. ** In the depths of adversity, where hope seems scarce and basic necessities remain elusive dreams, Sewadham Ashram stands as a pillar of compassion and support. Since 1989 Sewadham has been providing it's selfless service for the noble cause of serving suffering humanity! The Ashram, fueled by empathy and fortified by the selfless dedication of its volunteers, becomes a lifeline for those who have been cast aside by society. **Beneficiaries - Since last 35 years it has been a home for more than 9,000 people have got a new lease of life, while 5,000 have been rehabilitated and 3,000 belief-based last rites have been performed. Sewadham has also made it possible for 550 people to regain their eyesight with a donation of 275 pairs of eyes and have donated 175 cadavers to medical colleges to help future doctors in making. It has also organized over 300 eye and health checkup camps, benefiting 2 lakh people. About 8 lakh such rural, tribal and urban people alike have been benefited by Sewadham’s services. 9 Lac people benefitted by "Feed the Hungry" mission during pandemic. *Services*.. In this safe haven, no one is turned away; instead, they are embraced with open arms, reminded that they are never alone. Sewadham Ashram is family of 800+ members, including new-born babies and elderly people aged 100 years. Old people who have been abandoned by their families are also adopted into our family. Apart from this, there are Cancer patients, Tuberculosis patients, HIV+ patients, physically challenged, mentally ill, orphans, helpless, homeless, dying and destitute people from across the nation who live here. The Ashram doors are wide open to hapless souls in need, offering shelter, rehabilitation, support and a warm embrace. Victimized - exploited women, desolate, married - unmarried mothers, exploited mentally ill pregnant women and special children, they all find safe shelter, protection, and care at Sewadham Ashram. All the members are served here with love, care, and compassion irrespective of their caste, creed, religion, age, and gender. Our residents are the people, we often see in pathetic state around us, whether it is on railway station, bus stand, roads, pavements, hospitals or other public places. Many of them suffer from infectious, chronic or terminal diseases. They live in appalling conditions, some are covered in filth, having maggots filled stinking sores on their bodies makes It difficult to stand near them. This is where Sewadham steps-in, and accept such suffering people. Sewadham is dedicated to serving the needs of its residents by providing a range of essential and allied selfless services. These include safe shelter, healthy and nutritious meals, safe drinking water, access to medical care and medication, sanitation, and primary education for both normal and special children. We also have a well-equipped physiotherapy and naturopathy centre. Residents also benefit from a variety of cultural training opportunities, participation in indoor and outdoor games, physical training, yoga, meditation, entertainment events, and outings. Sewadham places great emphasis on vocational training, skill development, and self-reliance. It seeks to empower its residents by providing them with the necessary tools to become self-dependent and upon rehabilitation they can lead a life of dignity and respect in mainstream society. It has been a home for people who were abandoned by their families or their individual societies. Within its walls, they all find respite with roofs overhead. It provides sustenance, while also tending to their medical needs through comprehensive healthcare and healing ailments. Individual belief based last rites are performed by Sewadham. We are short of words to express our heartfelt gratitude for your exemplary generosity and kindness, we are grateful to you for your valuable support on Benevity. * Sewadham Ashram is an inter-faith NGO established in 1989; and is lifetime shelter and rehabilitation center for the helpless, homeless, abandoned old, geriatrics, disabled, mentally ill, under privileged, dying and destitute people coming from across the nation India, without discrimination of caste, creed, religion, age and gender. The victimized women, exploited mentally ill pregnant women, married – unmarried mothers and their kids, neglected special children, they all get new lease of life at Sewadham. * Presently Sewadham is home for 800+ members from the age group of 0-100 years which also includes helpless, homeless people suffering from Cancer, TB, HIV / AIDS, Leprosy, Paralyses, Polio and other chronic or terminal illness. * Most of our members are people we often see around us, on railway station, bus stand, roads, pavements, hospitals or other public places. Neglected by own families and the society, resigned to their pitiable fate, many live in pathetic and appalling conditions, few having maggots infected stinking sores on their bodies; people shun them leave alone talk to them. Sewadham Ashram accept such suffering people and provide them lifetime shelter, rehabilitation and need based services with due love, care and compassion till their last breath. * The time is to give back to the society. It is about being mindful of the people in need. It is about responsible gifting & conscious giving. These suffering lot of people also feel living life with self-respect and dignity. * Beneficiaries - Sewadham has helped more than 9000 suffering people get a new lease of life. Narendra Modi, then Chief Minister (Gujarat) & the present Prime Minister of India. * COVID19 Relief – "Feed the Hungry" - Since 1st lockdown, Sewadham is distributing cooked food to the very poor, daily wagers and migrant workers, homeless, elderly, disabled, hungry & deprived people. We have served cooked meals to about 9 Lacs people. * During the Pandemic, Sewadham did not back away from the mission of Serving Suffering Humanity; all our 750 members are healthy and safe, with no COVID-19 positive cases reported at the ashram. * Services & Facilities - Sewadham Ashram is dedicated to serving the needs of its residents by providing a range of essential selfless services. These include safe shelter, healthy and nutritious meals, safe drinking water, access to health care, medical support, medication, pre & post & natal services, personal and overall hyenine, safe sanitation, commercial laundry, well equipped kitchen catering 2000 meals everyday, 24x7 facility of resident doctors, male / female nursing staff and ambulance with drivers. We also have well-equipped physiotherapy and naturopathy centre. * Residents also benefit from a variety of cultural training opportunities such as dance, music, art, craft, handicrafts, horticulture, and conventional sports. They can also participate in indoor and outdoor games, physical training, yoga, meditation, entertainment events, organize educational tours and outings to places of historical or religious importance. * Sewadham places great emphasis on vocational training, skill development, and self-reliance. It seeks to empower its residents by providing them with the necessary tools to become self-dependent and lead a life of dignity and respect in mainstream society, it includes rehabilitation in best possible manner and all need based services. At Sewadham belief based last rites are performed. **HUMBLE APPEAL - Sponsor our Suffering lot of people - "Donate a Meal - Feed the Needy and Deprived" - Everyday 2000 healthy - hygienic - nutritious meals are prepared at Sewadham. One time meals for 800 members costs about Rs.40,000/- i.e. USD $500. We serve Chapati, Pulses, Rice, Seasonal Vegetable. We humbly request you to Donate maximum number of meals for our 800+ homeless, disabled, mentally ill and deprived members OR Sponsor Selfless Services & facilities for our Members @INR 9,0000 per member/month. * Sewadham Ashram is a voluntary organization that has been running exclusively on public donations, generous support from Charitable Trusts, Corporate & CSR initiatives. It has made strong footprints with its 35 years of selfless services to the suffering humanity. But with that support now slowly diminishing, the Ashram faces the challenge of being unable to serve its residents, or any lost soul that approaches us for shelter. The demand for the Ashram’s services has surged, while the available means to meet this demand have dwindled. * The stark reality is that without additional support, our ability to extend a helping hand to those in need hangs in the balance. The average cost of tending to one person a month is about INR 9,000. Two time meals for 800 members costs INR 80,000/- Day say 24Lacs/month for month. The Ashram needs your support to fulfill its mission and make a lasting impact on the lives of those who need it the most. * Other Activities – - Leprosy Welfare Center Ujjain - Shelter home for 50 Leprosy affected families. - "Ankit Vinay Vihar" - school for inclusive education for Sewadham and nearby rural children with 32 seat school bus. - Sewadham regularly organizes assistive devices distribution camps for elderly, disabled, leprosy patients and disadvantaged people jointly with ALIMCO and Social Justice & Empowerment Dep. - Computer Education/Training. - Environment Protection and Development - Since 1992 Sewadham organizes “Ankit Varsha Mangal Mahotsav” for environment protection & development. Thousands of Plants are planted & distributed * Sewadham residents are referred from all parts of India through various channels like Ministers of Central & State Govt., MP-MLA, Social Justice & Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Child Welfare Committee, Commissioner, Collector, Local Administration, Mental and Govt.
