About This Cause
Seva Bharati Vijayawada is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) registered under the act of Public Charitable Trust. It is serving the weaker sections of society irrespective of their caste and religion in the field of Education, Health, and other social service activities for more than two decades. Sevabharati is serving the needy Tribal people in the interior areas of East Godavari and Krishna Districts for the last 2 decades. OUR PROJECTS: 1. Abhyasika (free tuition center ) 2. Relief work Seva Bharati Vijayawada is rendering sustained services in several parts of Bharat Since 1990. Beneficiaries are Socioeconomically marginalized, tribal and indigenous communities, Urban slum dwellers, and resettlement colonies as well. Our earnest endeavor is to serve. ABHYASIKA ( Free Tuition Center ): Abhyasika is a Novel Project of Seva Bharati for Children living in Slums and not have the minimum facilities and no encouragement from their parents after coming back from school and some children may not even go to school because their parents leave them in their houses to look after the younger ones while they go to work for their livelihood. Sevabharati running 50 Abhyasikas at present in these localities. Since the children are not taken care of by the parents they become more troublesome in the locality, finally, they turn out to be indisciplined, disadvantaged, deserted, and involved in juvenile delinquency. Hence the Abhyasika will take care of such children and support them to keep them on the right path. AIMS OF THE ABHYASIKA: 1. Promotion of learning basic skills. 2. Promotion of language and communication skills. 3. Learning through playing. 4. Gathering experience through activities. 5. Self-respecting, self-reliance, integrated personality development 6. Providing cultural environs for the child’s growth SINGLE-TEACHER SCHOOL FOR TRIBES: Seva Bharathi has been organizing single-teacher schools in 50 tribal villages of the Bhadrachalam Division since 2000. 5000 students finished their primary education while 2000 still continue going to school. At present, Seva Bharathi runs Abhayasikas for 18 tribal villages of which 386 have been receiving training on matters of cultural heritage, ethics, general knowledge, health, and hygiene. ROUTINE AND OCCASIONAL ACTIVITIES TO ACHIEVE THESE AIMS : 1. Games 2. Songs 3. Acting 4. Storytelling 5. Free Chatting 6. Trips 7. Crafts. 8. Yoga and exercise 9. Celebrations of Festivals and Events of National importance. PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME: We have conducted a personality development camp in which about a hundred students from the 5th class to the 10th class participated. In this camp, eminent Scholars have guided children in various fields like mathematics, English vocabulary, grammar, writing skills and drawing skills, moral education patriotic stories. BALAMELA (VARSHIKOTSVAM): Every year in February student’s anniversary celebrations is conducted in a well-planned manner. On that occasion, about 1200 children perform their talents in many fields like best from Waste, science projects exhibition, cultural programs like folk dance, Kuchipudi dance, patriotic songs, and many platelets. HEALTH: The Seva Bharati organizational report states that it has over five thousand health care centers spread across India, including 4200 rural health care centers, 960 mobile clinics, 480 resident clinics in urban areas, 200 counseling centers, 6500 ambulances, and 7 leprosy medication and rehabilitation centers. It has a chain of 450 Blood banks and over three hundred blood donation indexes that serve in times of emergencies. With the intention of reaching health services to the urban poor in the slums, four urban health centers are organized by Seva Bharathi Vijayawada with the financial assistance of donors. Nearly 65,000 people are benefited from these services. Each center has a doctor, two nurses, an assistant to the doctor, a community organizer, and two workers. Mother and child welfare is the main motto of these centers. Health awareness programs like breastfeeding, pulse polio, and community activities like group seemantham, and worship of Bharatamatha are celebrated at these centers. VIDYARDHI VIKAS YOJANA: Girijana samagra development of tribal people in Chinturu remote village near Bhadrachalam conducting a free Hospital, free mobile clinic, and free tuition center for the students, after finishing school education with the help of Vidya Mitra Charitable Trust and GVR College of Nellore. A hundred students are doing Nurse training and some of them at government jobs. Our earnest endeavor is to serve.
