Mission Statement

"To bring a holistic and sustainable change in the lives of the vulnerable sections of society through innovative solutions and implementing evidence-based interventions.”

About This Cause

We are an India-based charity with a significant presence across 8 Indian states, having positively impacted over 17,000 beneficiaries through our initiatives. Currently, our efforts are focused on promoting Climate Smart Crops and Agriculture. We engage directly with farmers and facilitate market linkages, primarily in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh, which is the second most drought-prone region in India. A key aspect of our work involves encouraging farmers to cultivate millets. These are climate-smart and nutrition-smart crops that require minimal water, thrive in poor and saline soils, and offer a reliable harvest even with scarce rainfall. Beyond cultivation, we also connect farmers to markets for their produce. We aim to expand this work by implementing a more structured intervention. This will involve providing technical expertise, assisting with organic certifications, supporting processing and value addition, and raising awareness about the health benefits of these foods. Such an initiative holds the potential to create additional livelihood opportunities in an area challenged by limited options due to adverse climatic conditions. An intervention designed to promote and revive these crops in rural areas aligns seamlessly with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 2 (End Hunger, Achieve Food Security and Improved Nutrition and Promote Sustainable Agriculture) and SDG 13 (Climate Action). We are enthusiastic about this project, believing it can have a lasting positive impact on both the lives of farmers and the environment. Furthermore, we are actively working with women in urban slums to empower them to create their own nutrition-packed diets. A special focus is placed on pregnant and lactating women's groups to ensure they can produce healthy and safe food tailored to their needs.
