Mission Statement
What we Do Orione Seva [Operational name of Kripa Trust] provides pre-vocational and vocational training to intellectually challenged children and youth, builds skills of women,facilitates educational support and inculcates moral values to children. From 2003, we have reached out to 5,000 children and 1,500 women in Karnataka, Telangana and Kerala. Presently we work in Byrathi, Chandanaduru Kavanad, Karunapuram villages in Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana.
About This Cause
Why we Exist We believe in the poor - their strength, resilience and capacity to create a better future. To take forward our belief and our dream, we established Orione Seva [Operational name of KRIPA TRUST] in Bangalore in 2003. It draws inspiration from Don Orione, a priest of the 20th Century, whose vision was "Do good to all and harm to none". Over the years, we began to identify and solve tough challenges and build stronger communities. And to bring a change that is visible and sustainable, takes hard work, noble belief and intense dedication. Subsequently, working over the years with the community, we saw part of our dreams fulfilled. Children and youth with disabilities have come out of their shadows and lead a life with dignity. Women have began to earn and save their income - finding hope to elevate their families. Poor children get extra coaching through after school support services. The community gets free health check ups and children learn values and principles to lead their life with dignity.
