Dedicated to saving lives of speechless stray animals & birds, conserving nature, promoting human and animal coexistence by spreading awareness to the next generation and the communities through various knowledge sharing and hands-on activities, improving stray animal’s health by providing timely treatment, vaccination. About This Cause
Jivdaya Charitable Trust is a non-profitable animal welfare organization that provides medical care and aids to stray, injured birds and animals for free of cost. It also runs a rehabilitation center for birds, reptiles, and wild mammals, besides successfully managing a well-equipped veterinary hospital with all the state-of-the-art facilities for critical surgeries and care. JCT veterinary facility happens to be the largest in the state of Gujarat. This organization has started operating in the year of 2007 with limited resources. But, standing today, our organization has two operation theatres for animals & birds separately, one call center, dedicated departments, and wards for animals and birds and a team of 74 skilled staff members, which includes 11 experienced veterinarians with a smooth operating system. On average, we treat 3000-4000 animals and birds per month. Till now, we have treated and rehabilitated more than 4.5 Lac animals and birds. Apart from that, for the last 12 years, we have been conducting a special Save Birds Campaign during the Kite Flying Festival for the treatment and rehabilitation of injured birds suffering kite or thread injury. Several animals get displaced every year in these human-dominated landscapes. Anthropogenic threats like road accidents, habitat destruction, toxins, harmful festivals, cruelty, etc. threaten both common and endangered animals and birds. Many untreated ailments have resulted in various infections, and sometimes these infections can lead to disease outbreaks and pose a danger to humans. Animal welfare organizations like ours (Jivdaya Charitable Trust) play a very critical role in mitigating these issues. Our ongoing project aims to help the animals and birds that are suffering, and through improving welfare and conservation, we are helping people in local communities. Our project activities include treatments of both medical and surgical. We have also set up the necessary equipment for disease diagnosis and carry out vaccinations to animals like dogs and other mammals to prevent and control various zoonotic, seasonal, and parasite-borne diseases. We believe in long-term impacts, sustainable efforts, and always try to get multi-stakeholder participation in our projects and programs.
