Mission Statement
DLL has existed since 1979 and is one of the oldest LGBTI+ helplines in the world. Originally a helpline, we have adapted outside of that to meet the needs of our community while still providing that original support. Over the last four years we have been adding to our services; including an annual mental health festival - the Good Mood Festival - Wellness Courses and sexual health training.
About This Cause
DLL is a registered charity run by LGBTI+ female-identified volunteers, and provide support and information for the LGBTI+ women of our community, and their loved ones. We also work with LGBTI+ organisations and service providers, such as nurses, teachers etc. We have a Board of Executive and are governed by a Constitution. We have a Coordinator who manages the general operational and strategic functioning of DLL. All volunteers undergo extensive training and upskill frequently.
