Mission Statement
The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation is an international partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training and job placement, as well as children at risk of sexual and economic exploitation. The Foundation seeks to maximize the potential of each child. This is accomplished within the context of the family and the community whenever possible and always with love and respect for the dignity of each child as an individual.
About This Cause
Christina Noble arrived in Vietnam in 1989, and later in 1991 established The Christina Noble Children’s Foundation in Ho Chi Minh City. Over 100 projects have been established during the past 26 years providing vital health services, education opportunities, and community support programmes to thousands of vulnerable children and their families annually. In 1997, Christina extended the work of her Foundation into Mongolia after an investigative visit to Ulaanbaatar where she was shocked to discover thousands of sick and destitute street children living in horrendous conditions beneath the city streets in manholes struggling to survive against the harsh winter temperatures which can reach as low as minus 40 degrees. There are around 4.5 million children in need in Vietnam and Mongolia. It is estimated that one third of all children in developing countries are living in poverty and that every day 19,000 children die from preventable causes. Since its inception the Foundation has undertaken over 120 projects focusing on vital health, education, and community programmes which have directly supported over 700,000 of some of our world’s most underprivileged and vulnerable children and in total impacted the lives of over a 1,000,000 with our out-reach programmes in poor rural communities in the last 25 years.
