About This Cause
TASC is Ireland’s independent Think Tank for Action on Social Change. This year, TASC is celebrating 20 years addressing inequality and sustaining democracy. TASC's core work focuses on Equality, Democracy, Social Inclusion, and Climate Justice across the island of Ireland. TASC works by employing independent researchers to conduct research & analysis on social challenges with an emphasis on identifying credible solutions. In addition, we seek to raise awareness and facilitate debate on policy alternatives. We are a non-party organisation with good relationships with all Members of the Oireachtas. We do not receive donations from any political party, but many members of the Oireachtas use and reference our work on a regular basis. Since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020, TASC is increasingly partnering with frontline services on an all-island basis to translate expert knowledge into action for marginalized and vulnerable communities. TASC’s work combines research, policy reporting and public dialogue at local and national level in order to improve these services. TASC's work is ever more crucial as society begins to navigate the post- pandemic world
