Mission Statement
Bekind Ireland will work for the relief of poverty through the direct provision of funds raised in Ireland to recognised charities working among the poor, homeless, orphaned and needy children in Calcutta
About This Cause
Bekind Ireland was set up by Brian and Shane Flanagan in 2007, following their shared experiences in India. Since then, strong bonds have been formed with existing organisations and institutions in India, which has enabled the charity to reach out to many needy people. Our projects provide street children with food, shelter, clothing and education and a chance to enjoy a childhood. Our main project is the Bekind Boys' Home, a home to 25 boys whose home was once the streets of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta).
