About This Cause
HELPING PEOPLE AT TIMES OF CRISIS At Human Appeal Ireland we reach out to the mother, father, child, brother, sister, daughter or son that suffers from war, poverty, inequality and disadvantaged everyday of their lives. We concentrate on the human being at the source of our daily bulletins, giving emergency assistance and long term support to refugees, and those displaced by war. Through the provision of immediate relief and establishment of sustainable development programmes, we aim to invest in real, effective solutions. We also recognise that the provision of food, medical aid and emergency shelter to refugees and those displaced by war in times of humanitarian crises is essential for the immediate preservation of life. As such, we value the importance of a multidimensional aid approach, and therefore dedicate our time respectively between emergency relief and long term development. BRINGING HOPE TO THE DEVELOPING WORLD At Human Appeal Ireland we have a vision of a world without hunger or poverty, a world where every human being has the right to a full stomach and a nourished mind. We are working tirelessly across the world to make this a reality by organising self sustaining programmes to allow families and communities to lead themselves out of poverty. Human Appeal Ireland supports projects in 25 countries, from Syria to Somalia, Gaza to Bangladesh, to help people overcome the hardships of poverty, famine, natural disasters and war. HAII has also sponsored thousands of orphans and disadvantaged children providing them with food, supplies, safe shelters, education, and medical care that ensures them generous and decent lives. HELPING AT HOME HERE IN IRELAND We work independently and with partner organisations on a range of projects aimed at bringing fairness and equity to people in Ireland suffering from marginalization, homelessness, and disadvantage. Homelessness is a social injustice affecting far too many of our citizens. Our Irish projects feed, clothe, and also advise homeless people in Ireland on how they can avail of state services. We work with those refugees recently arrived in Ireland fleeing persecution and violence in their home countries. We offer them help to settle in and become fully part of the Irish community.
