About This Cause
The main object for which the Company is established is to benefit the mental health, well-being and relationships of the County Wexford community through the operation of a community based, family focused counselling/psychotherapy and support service. This includes; a) Developing a professional community based, low to no cost counselling/psychotherapy and support service for people residing in County Wexford, who are experiencing marginalisation, addressing a range of issues including mental health, family and relationship struggles, grief and loss, through identifying needs and developing needs-led responses. b) Providing this professional support to individuals and families of all age levels and diversity. c) Providing professional clinical and corporate oversight and support to practitioners working with those in need of our counselling and psychotherapy services. d) Promoting, encouraging and assisting in the teaching, training and education of counsellors and psychotherapists to enable them to work at the highest level of professionalism and deliver better outcomes for service users. e) Developing new approaches and programmes for dealing with mental health, family and relationship issues, grief and loss, arising in the community, to improve functioning in the family unit and reduce disadvantage.
