About This Cause
An Taisce is the widest- ranging, longest-established environmental charity in Ireland. Its Education Unit focusses on environmental education at schools and community level, employing over 90 staff who run 10 internationally-recognised programmes throughout the country. It also facilitates Corporate responsibility events for which it requests small donations, i.e. €300/half day and €650 per full day, for Coastal care projects. Such donations pay for this facilitation and the provision of small grants to community groups to encourage their work in protecting Ireland's environment.
