Tallaght CNS is a state, co-educational, multi-denominational school under the patronage of Dublin and Dun Laoighaire Education and Training Board.
About This Cause
Tallaght CNS is underpinned by the core values of Excellence in Education, Care, Equality, Community and Respect. Tallaght CNS caters for children from Junior Infants to 6th Class. Children are nutured in a safe, caring enviornment which allows them to fulfill their potential. Our school began it’s life as St. Maelruain’s Church of Ireland School was initially founded in 1979 and pupils were taught during the early years in the Parish Hall adjacent to St. Maelruain’s Church. The current school building was built in 1982 in Jobstown, Tallaght and was opened in October of that year. We are proud of our small, growing community which is the only school in Tallaght which offers education to primary school children in a multi-denominational setting.
