About This Cause
VeNatata NGO is a newly established Mushroom Organization formed by Israeli entrepreneurs, ecologists and educators. We are a versatile, multidisciplinary organism that catalyzes processes of Nature regeneration and social coherence. We are an inclusive mycelial network that transverses communities and sectors, committed to long-term undertakings. Our projects include the plantation of 100 therapeutic gardens in 100 rehabilitation centers; planting communal gardens, forests and agro-farms, as well as green-fellowships in the urban, encouraging ‘Green citizenry’. Our organization also sets in motion financial and organizational models to ensure resiliency for NGO’s and small social-businesses across the country. Our 100 therapeutic gardens campaign, along with ‘Social nurseries’, create new job opportunities for people at the margins of society, and lead to unique intersections amongst different populations. Project implementations are monitored and followed through by a professional team to ensure qualitative progress and growth. Forest-cities: The cultivation of bio-diverse green spaces nourishes the urban landscape with life-supporting benefits such as cleaner air, shade, cooler temperatures, locally grown food etc. Engagement around greening public spaces bolsters cooperation and awareness within local communities; encouraging a sense of ‘Green Citizenry’ and connection to Nature - we are making nature-keeping in the city a celebrated way of life. Now more than ever: Science tells us we urgently need to regenerate nature and restore the proper functioning of its systems, on which our culture and economies depend on. Yet in times of great uncertainty, isolation and divide, also grows the need for social coherence and wellbeing. There is a recognition that these two urgent needs must be answered concomitantly, as welfare is fundamentally dependent on ecology. Enhancing liveability, empowering communities and achieving economic progress must go hand in hand with the revitalization of Nature’s integrity and continuity. We can turn this crisis into an opportunity and engage people and organizations to joint forces and hearts.
