Hundreds of Haredi startups applied and 10 are selected each year. To date our graduating startups, employ over 600 people, and received over $125M in combined investments. Job Placement and Networking - Preparation of candidates for job interviews, professional job placement services as well as networking opportunities. KamaTech puts a strong emphasis on the quality of its placements in terms of salary and future advancement options. To date, we have successfully placed over 1000 Haredi men and women in quality positions in the Israeli high-tech industry. The average salary of a KamaTech placement is 16,000 NIS /month. The National Project for training Haredi Men and Women to the high-tech professions The Hi-Tech industry in Israel is desperate for quality personnel - there’s a shortage of about 15,000 employees. The greatest potential for solving the huge need exists in the graduates of the Haredi seminars in the software engineering program. Every year 9000 Haredi women are studying in the Haredi seminars, 900 of them (the top 10%) are studying computer science. Most of them are not getting into the high-tech workforce due to an educational gap and cultural gap. KamaTech is responding to the national challenge with a comprehensive solution for the integration of thousands of practical engineers into the high-tech industry. KamaTech program is in partnership with leading industry companies on one hand, and the Haredi education system on the other. The heart of the program is a computer science Bootcamp training, Principles of Our Boot Camp Program After having identified the gap between the current training programs at seminaries and market requirements, we introduced Bootcamp, which constitutes an addition to the program of studies at seminaries. The learning method is based on 3 principles: 1. Individual independent study via the Flipped Classroom method. 2. Studying online video courses in English from the best universities in the world. 3. Content determined by the high-tech companies, which is intended to close the gap between the requirements of the high-tech companies and the material that is actually taught at seminaries. Through our training program, for the first time, seminary graduates have the opportunity to join multinational companies which have identified the huge potential of Haredi candidates. Pilot – 2018 In a pilot program conducted in 2018 together with Western Digital (SanDisk), a large group of candidates was successfully integrated (22 women were accepted for employment in multinational companies as direct employees - with starting salaries of NIS 10,000-12,000, and a commitment for a salary increase to NIS 17,000 by the end of the second year). Program Expansion – 2019 Starting in October 2018 and throughout the beginning of 2019, 13 Haredi seminaries joined the above program; currently, nearly 550 students are in the program. In recent weeks, the students have already been tested by leading high-tech companies and some have already been accepted at companies such as Western Digital, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, HERE Mobility, Checkpoint, Amdocs, Bank Hapoalim, and more, with starting salaries of NIS 10,000 to NIS 20,000! This year, we expect to place 70 candidates. Program Expansion – 2020 Starting in October 2019 and throughout the beginning of 2020, 25 Haredi seminaries are going to join the program; Nearly 800 students are going to join the program. More and more high-tech companies are joining the coalition companies, including, Google, Microsoft, and more. And we are expecting 140 quality high level placements. Pilot for men During this months, we are starting a pilot program, bootcamp for Haredi men, based on the success of the above program for Haredi women.
