Mission Statement
The Israeli Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Ramat Gan and Vicinity is a no kill shelter, caring for thousands of abandoned and neglected animals.
About This Cause
The Israeli Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Ramat Gan and Vicinity was founded over 50 years ago. Ever since its establishment, the Society’s members and volunteers have cared for thousands of abandoned and neglected animals, providing for their medical care and daily welfare while striving to find them loving adoptive homes. The Israeli Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Ramat Gan and Vicinity is a no-kill animal rescue. This guiding principle is what makes our organization unique. Animals of all ages and conditions arrive at our shelter and, guided by the above principle, we give them new hope for a better life, and the certainty that they will never be abandoned again. In addition to the wide range of activities carried out within the shelter, the organization promotes the values of compassion, tolerance, and assistance for those in need. We highly emphasize community involvement, education and awareness activities, and assistance to needy populations. Many students volunteer at the shelter through community service programs and scholarships. They help care for the animals, exercise the dogs and socialize with the cats. The organization also provides educational activities that focus on our relationship as humans with animals. These activities are performed at schools and youth centers, as well as special education institutions or any place where animal interaction and therapy can be of assistance.
