Paamonim’s vision is to promote financial stability and well-being for all Israelis through free financial guidance and support. We strive to create a financially resilient society in Israel by providing the tools and knowledge necessary for individuals and families to make informed decisions about their finances, overcome financial difficulties, and achieve their long-term financial goals.
About This Cause
Paamonim is a leading nonprofit organization that aims to empower individuals and families to understand and effectively manage their finances, focusing on long-term, comprehensive solutions to debt and poverty. Our broader impact aim is to build social and economic resilience among Israel’s residents. We have been serving the Israeli population for over 20 years. With branches across Israel, Paamonim is committed to creating societal change in domestic financial management. In Israel, 3 million people (approximately 900,000 households) are in debt, with approximately 22,000 households falling into debt annually. Paamonim has been accompanying tens of thousands of families, with 12,000 families benefiting from our services during the past year alone. We extend our support to diverse populations across the spectrum of Israeli society including work with the ultra-Orthodox community and other Jewish populations, older adults, youth at risk, single women, battered women, students, families on welfare and new immigrants. Paamonim believes in a holistic approach to financial well-being—not only managing debt—which includes helping individuals integrate into employment and empowering them with the knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions and avoid common pitfalls that can have a long-term impact on their future.
