Mission Statement
This year, due to the Corona routine, we are launching the "Doing a School for the Corona" project even more. Attach a mentor to the patient and the patient's brother as close as possible to the moment of diagnosis of the disease. This supporter will be in continuous contact with the family and will come to the family home at least once a week. The supporter will help with the children's curriculum at home, as well as from time to time in coordination with the coordinator for fun days with the children at home. This supporter will be closely monitored and accompanied by the project coordinator, whose role is to recruit the supporters at the request of the families. The coordinator will also be in constant contact with the supporter to give him a response to the family's needs and an attentive ear to the supporter's needs.
About This Cause
Or Menachem - Light for the Sick Children is a volunteer organization that helps sick children. The association has been operating since 2003 and since then for 365 days a year we continue to help those children who get up in the morning and don't go to school like everyone else, but for a long day of difficult treatments. With the help of a professional team and an array of volunteers who engage with great dedication in an extensive activity aimed entirely at the children in all hospital wards, regardless of race, religion or gender. Or Menachem volunteers provide the most professional care for the children and provide them with moments of happiness and fun that give them the strength to continue fighting for their lives ... A day of smiles, birthday celebrations, candy distribution and gifts, fulfillment of wishes, holding parties around a circle this year, mental support, training workshops, a system of transportation for treatments, financing of medications that are not in the health basket, operation of a day center for lending books, games, means of entertainment, and more ... Or Menachem is a non-profit voluntary organization that works to help sick children and their families who are forced to stay for days, nights, months and sometimes years in hospitals.
