Mission Statement
The ZOOM Foundation is dedicated to promoting scientific research in the fields of zoology and the environment through specialization projects and scientific training. It is committed to fostering environmental education, with a particular focus on biodiversity conservation and species protection. To achieve these objectives, the Foundation conducts research and disseminates the results of its studies, ensuring that conservation efforts are effectively communicated and understood. It also invests in training, environmental education, and social responsibility to empower people. The ZOOM Foundation aims to create dynamic and productive collaborations among various stakeholders, from national and international organizations to local communities, always placing research at the core and working to enhance the connection between communities and nature. Through collaborative partnerships, it supports projects that protect the environment and wildlife from extinction, safeguard human health, and promote sustainable development. The Foundation serves as a hub for developing initiatives related to cultural, educational, scientific, and social issues concerning the environment and nature. Among its main goals are environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, and education, helping people understand the importance of conservation efforts and fostering environmental awareness.
About This Cause
The ZOOM Foundation ETS is a Third Sector organization established in 2022 with the mission to develop scientific research in zoology and environmental sciences, promote environmental education, and protect biodiversity. Through its work, the Foundation strives to bridge the gap between scientific research and community engagement, ensuring that conservation efforts are effectively communicated and implemented. Areas of Focus: The Foundation’s activities of general interest include: • Environmental protection and animal welfare: interventions and services aimed at improving environmental conditions, safeguarding animal well-being, and preventing stray animal issues. • Higher education and research: University and post-graduate training, along with scientific research of particular social interest. • Cultural and social initiatives: organization and management of cultural, artistic, or recreational activities with a social purpose, as well as the promotion of volunteerism. Core Commitments: ZOOM Foundation is dedicated to scientific research and dissemination, as well as environmental education and training. It fosters dynamic collaborations among stakeholders, from national and international organizations to local communities, always placing research at the center of its initiatives. By supporting projects that protect the environment, preserve wildlife, and promote sustainability, the Foundation contributes to safeguarding both ecosystems and public health. Current Projects: The Foundation’s activities are structured into four main project areas: • Bee Zoom: pollinator census and biomonitoring in Piedmont and Botswana to assess biodiversity health. • Biomonitorando: research on the impact of pollutants and climate change on ecosystems. • Animal Welfare: scientific studies on animal well-being, behavior, and health. • Hippo Energy: educational and recreational activities designed for hospitalized children, bringing nature and conservation themes into care settings.
