Mission Statement
Our world needs a living example of non-violence and a strong culture to promote it. The Buddhist culture, with its values of tolerance and non-violence deeply rooted in the population, is a heritage of all humanity. In particular, the recent history of invaded Tibet is a concrete example of a people who reject violence as a weapon of struggle to have their rights recognized. The Association is totally non-profit and, exclusively for solidarity purposes, aims to safeguard and preserve the ethical and social values of the Tibetan people and other Buddhist countries that have suffered invasions, cultural and religious repressions, are oppressed by poverty or are hit by calamities, through material, moral and cultural support to the population. Depending on the circumstances and financial resources, the Association will also provide help to any other people or group of people in difficulty.
About This Cause
ACTIVITIES The Association may: - manage a program of "distance adoptions" - manage, directly or with the collaboration of local authorities, projects of a community nature in the areas concerned: schools, counseling centers, health and hygiene programs, assistance structures, etc .; - contribute to the preservation and development of the cultural and artistic heritage of Buddhist countries; - promote fair trade and microcredit initiatives; - promote collaboration with other humanitarian, cultural or religious bodies, as well as initiatives in favor of peace, freedom of worship, human rights and the environment; - contribute to the development of pedagogical methods that favor the inner balance of individuals and the affirmation of a culture of solidarity; - promote or manage training courses in the fields connected to the statutory activities. The Association cannot carry out activities other than those indicated above with the exception of the secondary and instrumental ones identified by the Board of Directors, which will be highlighted in the financial statements. - the proceeds of the company activity, of any nature, must be reinvested in the statutory activities and may in no case be divided among the members, not even indirectly. The Organization wants to contribute to the realization of the "7 Objectives for the Sustainable Development", the UN program of action for people, planet and prosperity signed by 197 nations.
