About This Cause

Compassionate Hands for the Disabled is not just an organization; it’s a heartwarming story of hope and transformation. As a non-governmental charitable organization, we have been dedicated to uplifting the lives of special needs children, many of whom come from orphaned or vulnerable backgrounds. Our journey began in 2008 as an outreach program for children with disabilities in the challenging environment of Korogocho slums. Our commitment extends to children facing a spectrum of disabilities, including physical disabilities, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, hydrocephalus, Down syndrome, spinal bifida, autism, and mental disabilities. Over the years, our humble outreach program has evolved into a loving home and a hub for rehabilitation services, offering these remarkable children the support and care they truly deserve. With the unwavering support of well-wishers and friends, we have acquired land and embarked on the mission of transforming our home into a disability-friendly environment. Here, our children will not only have access to education and healthcare services but also engaging rehabilitation activities, all within the stable and nurturing atmosphere of a well-curated palliative care system. Presently, we are the proud home to 106 incredible children who are the heart of our programs and services. Our organization is in Ruai, Nairobi, just 3km away from the Eastern Bypass, a place where our compassion meets purpose every day. Goals and objectives 1.
