Mission Statement
Andy Speaks 4 Special Needs Persons Africa. We are a rights-based social enterprise that champions for the mainstreaming of neurodevelopmental disabilities in all matters regarding their Health, Education and Social Protection in line with the Constitution of Kenya, the UN Convention on Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD) and the UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) . Our objective is to promote the agenda of inclusion & integration of persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Kenya & across Africa
About This Cause
Founded in 2019 by Dr. Sylvia Mochabo, a mother of three boys, two of whom are on the Autism Spectrum, Andy Speaks 4 Special Needs Persons Africa is a registered non-for-profit organization with both the Kenyan government and the National Council for Persons With Disabilities. With a dedicated team of five permanent employees, including the Executive Director and Founder, alongside a working group of volunteers offering technical advice and support, we are committed to championing the rights and well-being of individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities across Africa. Our organization's objective is: To run quality programs that empower children, youth, and individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities to achieve their full potential; Through research, generate evidence that informs and improves policies and practices, ensuring inclusivity at every level; Empower parents, caregivers, and practitioners to advocate for the rights of persons with neurodevelopmental disabilities to build the capacity for the provision of quality support and services.
