Mission Statement
HOYWIK exists to champion, lobby for the rights, and specific general needs of the welfare of Orphans, Youth and Widows through advocacy for their role in the implementation of sustainable developmental programmes in the community.
About This Cause
Humanity for Orphans, Youth and Widows Initiatives Kenya (HOYWIK) is legally registered in Kenya as Non-Profit Making Organization. Our main activities include: - education; health, nutritional care; food security; capacity building; human rights and self-reliance program (Social Entrepreneurship Target (SET) Revolving Fund. We have managed to continue to impact people’s lives through capacity building trainings, information sharing, economic empowerment, by establishing educational centre to provide education to the orphans and other vulnerable children, our interventions continue to promote community sustainable development, working in bringing light to the poor and ignorant through the gift of education. The main objective of HOYWIK is alleviation of poverty amongst the rural and urban poor by the promotion of equal opportunity for all through the usage of resources that are locally available with a vision of having a society where the rights of the vulnerable persons are appreciated, guaranteed, protected and also where such persons are accorded opportunity to live in dignity through easy access to health care, education, information, shelter and other basic needs, and a mission that exists to champion, lobby for the rights, and specific general needs of the welfare of Orphans, Youth and Widows through advocacy for their role in the implementation of sustainable developmental programs in the community. The priority of HOYWIK is to instill sustainable development which will improve the economic and social well-being of the communities. HOYWIK strives to give priority to the poor and marginalized members of the community.
