About This Cause

The Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon (CCCL) is a regional center pioneering in pediatric cancer treatment with a mission of hope and a healthy future for our dear children; where they are treated free of charge, with no cost at all on their parents. Thanks to our affiliation with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee; and the rigorous research of our doctors and scientists at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), we are proud and glad to have an average survival rate of 80% for our beloved kids. Since its inauguration in April 2002, more than 5,000 kids with cancer from over 15 countries in the Middle East and North Africa have been treated at the center. In addition, CCCL offers preliminary diagnosis testing free of charge to hundreds of children from other hospitals. CCCL has a yearly budget of $15,000,000, and relies purely on donations. The CCCL strives to raise the needed amounts to be able to fulfill its mission of treating children with cancer at no cost to their families. CCCL’S MISSION To support all children with cancer and their families through securing funds to: - Have access to the latest treatment disregarding the parent’s ability to pay. - Excellence in psychosocial services to help fight the disease - Education to create better understanding and awareness CCCL’s Vision To provide access to free treatment and care to all children with cancer in Lebanon and the region, without any discrimination
