About This Cause
Stouh Beirut is a non-profit organization whose aim is to support the underprivileged and most vulnerable members of our community, by providing healthcare, livelihood & basic assitance, and advoacy for human rights services... It was founded in Beirut, in 2013, following five successful telethons. Stouh Beirut is registered in the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities (Reg#218) and it is one of few Lebanese organizations who has been granted the Public Utility Function (aka صفة المنفعة العامة ) by the President of the Republic and the Council of Ministers, in addition to the Presidential Medal Merit. The reason behind establishing "Stouh Beirut" organization and its primary mission was to support everyone who needs help in Lebanon, mainly by providing financial, moral and social assistance. Our organization has always been focused on helping the less fortunate with serious health problems by providing them with the necessary medical assistance and covering their expenses. However, our projects were never limited to this, and our mission has extended to include providing essential needs through livelihoods programs, and advocating for the rights of all the Lebanese Community. Over the years we have committed ourselves to: Providing humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations in Lebanon, including those unable to meet their basic needs, with a focus on healthcare and essential services. Promoting gender equality and women's empowerment by supporting their active participation in civil and professional spheres in Lebanon. Fostering a culture of social cohesion, solidarity, and peaceful coexistence through community engagement and advocacy. Designing and implementing youth-centered initiatives that offer opportunities for social, educational, and professional development across Lebanon. Leading public awareness campaigns aimed at promoting health, well-being, and sustainable development to contribute to a more resilient and prosperous Lebanon. Supporting access to education for children and youth through partial and full financial assistance, ensuring equal opportunities for all to complete their education. Advocating for legislative reform to strengthen the legal framework for the protection and rights of women, children, and families in alignment with international standards. Strengthening socio-economic stability by supporting the middle class and enhancing its role in the overall development of Lebanese society. ABOUT STOUH BEIRUT These objectives have been progressively realized through the annual "Telethon", which our organization has successfully conducted over the past 11 years. The event’s transparency and credibility within Lebanese society have allowed our NGO to extend assistance to an increasing number of beneficiaries. Over the course of a decade of dedicated efforts, we have made a positive impact on the lives of more than 1,000 families through our various projects and interventions. Our rapid response to emergent crises, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the devastating Beirut explosion, and recently the Emergency Relief Campaign "Ya Habibi Ya Lebnen" has further demonstrated our capacity to deliver timely and effective support to those most in need.
