Mission Statement
Raising Hope and Support in practical ways for vulnerable, undocumented Rohingya refugee families and giving them opportunities to do the same in their communities, in order to address maternal morbidity and infant/maternal mortality.
About This Cause
Education of birthing couples Ensure safe birthing practises Assist with hospital fees for struggling couples and encouraging financial planning for able couples. Maintaining and conforming to Malaysian medical standards and practises and partnering with NGO’s and relevant parties in health, wellness and education fields. Training, mentoring and coaching community Doulas and lactation facilitators. Assist both NGO’s by providing family planning devices Developing community learning centres Steps: 1. Provide 6 training classes: a) Introduction to the program b) Nutrition for a healthy pregnancy c) Post-birth care for mother and infant d) Labour and Birth e) Breast feeding f) Family Planning 2. Provide baby supplies package upon completion of all 6 classes. 3. Provide safe care and offering coaching during labour (in their homes) 4. Transporting to hospital just prior to delivery 5. Provide post-birth care and support 6. Provide breast feeding encouragement and support 7. Recruiting Rohingya parents/teachers to set up community learning centres. 8. Financially assisting learning centres with teaching materials. 9. Encouraging self-sufficiency/financial independence by training financial management
