Mission Statement
Atendemos el decaimiento de las condiciones socioeconómicas de niños y jóvenes de escasos recursos en tratamiento oncológico y sus familias en el estado de Puebla y estados colindantes. We assist the decline of the socioeconomic conditions of low-income children and youth in cancer treatment and their families in Puebla and neighboring states of Mexico.
About This Cause
Una Nueva Esperanza ABP is a Mexican nonprofit organization founded in 1999, where we safeguard the right to life, priority and health, trough assisting and providing professional services to children and teenagers with limited resources who were diagnosed with cancer. To make their basic need satisficed we offer daily feeding and hostage for children and caregivers who come from communities outside the city, in order ro reduce the reasons of treatment abandon common on low income population with cancer. Also, we offer pediatric oncology attention for children and chemotherapy for 14 + agers who are outside the range of the Mexican public health attention programs. Psychological and emotional care programs where we promote therapeutic adherence and management of chronicity by individual, game, family and thanatology therapies. Patient optimal nutritional conditions are secured on our Nutritional program, by nutrition consultancy, nutritional capacitation, gift of food supplements and daily product kits; we also promote healthy alimentation on our garden, where we harvest organic vegetables and promote organic and healthy habits knowledge with our users. We have a recreation program where our volunteering personal make artistic, educational and social activities for children, teenagers and caregivers. To support the treatment needed by the children we count with a medical dispensary where the users can acquire medicine for their treatment free or at a minimum recovery cost, as well as an Oncology Research Center, were biomedical and psychosocial disease research is done and so we do diagnostic tests at no cost for Una Nueva Esperanza's users and low cost for general public. Additionally, our social incidence program fortifies the cancer awareness by participating on local networks with government and other nonprofit organizations. We know that the road is still long to achieve timely attention and to improve the quality of life and benefit from the survival of those who have to face cancer, but we know it is a path and a necessary struggle, because the personal battle of children and youth inspires our permanent commitment. -------------
